AI-Based Telugu Text Translator with Speech in Multiple Languages

Objective

To develop an AI-based system that captures printed Telugu text from real-world images and translates it into English and Hindi with speech output in all three languages, enhancing accessibility and multilingual communication.

Abstract

This project presents an AI-based multilingual translator system using Raspberry Pi, USB webcam, LCD display, speaker, ultrasonic sensor, and push buttons. The system captures text through a camera and uses OCR to recognize Telugu, Hindi, and English text. The extracted text is translated using an AI model and displayed on an LCD, while speech output is generated through a speaker. The ultrasonic sensor enhances interaction through object detection, and buttons allow language selection. The system provides a low-cost and efficient solution for real-time translation and speech assistance.
