Objective

The primary objective is to design and implement a secure blockchain-based system that ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and verification of digital files. The system aims to provide secure file upload, encryption, hash generation, and blockchain registration. It will enable authorized users to verify the authenticity of files, detect any tampering, and receive notifications. The project seeks to integrate encryption, blockchain, and secure storage to deliver a comprehensive, user-friendly solution for document integrity management. The system will enhance trust, transparency, and accountability in file management.

Abstract

The Blockchain File Integrity System is designed to ensure secure file management, authentication, and verification using blockchain technology. It integrates an uploader module for secure submission, encryption, and storage of files along with a verifier module to check file integrity. The system generates unique cryptographic hashes for uploaded files, stores metadata and hashes on the blockchain, and allows users to verify files against the blockchain record to detect tampering. By combining encryption techniques, blockchain immutability, and secure storage mechanisms, the system addresses the limitations of conventional file storage systems. It provides a user-friendly interface, notification support, and audit trails for transparency. This solution enhances trust, accountability, and reliability in digital document handling, making it applicable for sensitive industries such as healthcare, legal, finance, and academic sectors. The system also reduces risks of unauthorized modifications and ensures compliance with data integrity standards.
