Objective

The main objective is to design a smart bag which provides security for women since women are not safe in many locations. Women harassment is increasing in an alarming rate. To ensure women safety this system established.

Abstract

This project presents a Smart Bag designed for women's safety, incorporating multiple sensors and communication modules to provide emergency response. The system is built using an Arduino microcontroller and integrates an IR sensor and a push button to detect distress situations. When the IR sensor detects suspicious proximity or unauthorized access near the bag, or when the user manually presses the emergency button, the system is triggered. It immediately activates a buzzer for alerting nearby people, displays a warning message on an LCD screen, and sends an emergency SMS with location details via a GSM module to a pre-registered mobile number. This smart bag acts as a personal safety device, offering alerting and communication features that enhance security and enable faster assistance in emergency situations, especially in public or isolated areas.
