Objective

The main objective of this project is Facilitate continuous operation of wind turbines during disturbances, Stability improvement (during grid faults) and Proper reactive power compensation by using STATCOM.

Abstract

In this paper proposed a STATCOM in wind generation connected grid system for power quality improvement. The wind power system has same voltage fluctuation, and the wind power system connected to the grid connection. The grid also has some fluctuation, so the total power system has less power quality. So, we are using facts controller in the wind and grid connected system. The STATCOM facts controller used for the proposed system. So, the STATCOM facts controller reduced for voltage fluctuation and improved by power quality. The system excited by MATLAB/Simulation and shown for the result
