Portable Roadside Sensors for Vehicle Counting Classification & Speed Measurement

Objective

The main objective of this project is to measure speed of vehicle by using Two Ultrasonic sensors and sending the over speed vehicle image to cloud

Abstract

This project focuses on the development of a portable roadside sensor system for vehicle counting and speed measurement. The sensor system consists of wireless devices that do not require to be embedded in the roadway-the devices are placed next to the roadway and measure of vehicles. If any vehicle is crossing the speed limit, the camera will capture the image and will send it to authorized people.

The ultrasonic sensors were used to measure the speed of a vehicle by calculating the time taken for a vehicle to reach from first to second ultrasonic sensor.
