Navigation System for Visually Impaired People by Raspberry Pi

Objective

The main objective of this project is to help to understand the smart navigation system for blind people using raspberry pi in a better way. This smart navigation system is a smart stick that helps the visually impaired or blind people to make there lives simple.

Abstract

This project will help you to understand the smart navigation system for blind people using raspberry pi in a better way. This smart navigation system is a smart stick that helps the visually impaired or blind people to make there lives simpler and can be seen as an aid that will surpass all the other existing systems. It will provide them with an environment that is safer and will give them a sense of Independence which will help them to lead a normal life. This smart navigation system stick uses raspberry pi 3b, GPS module, voice command module, and ultrasonic sensor. In this proposed system, an ultrasonic is arranged to detect the  obstacles occur. Here we are using Raspberry Pi to monitor whole operation. When ultrasonic sensor is detected, the person can hear the voice in which direction he has to move. Users receive instructions through sound messages in their speaker. If switch is pressed latitude and longitude values will be sent.
