Abstract

Technology advancements have made the implementation of embedded systems within home appliances. Huge demand for smart home automation through remotes increases the capabilities and features. IR modules are cost effective and flexible so it is one of the best choices for smart home automation. Implementation of this project is done by using as a controller to which the devices are directly interfaced. Control to the devices is communicated through remote. This project consists of a IR transmitter and receiver. User will give commands through the remote which acts as transmitter. The receiver section is connected to the microcontroller which has a decoder. This decoder sends code for respective command sent by user. Then the respective device connected to the circuit will be turned on or off through relays depending on the command given.
