GSM Based Notice Board With LED Scrolling Display

Abstract

Scrolling display board is a common sight today. Advertisement is going digital. The use of led scrolling display board at big shops, shopping centers, railway station, bus stands and educational institutes is becoming an effective mode of communication in providing information to the people.
In the existing system, if the user wants to change the message it needs to be done using a computer and hence the person needs to be present at the location of the display board. It means the message cannot be changed from wherever or whenever.
In the proposed system, GSM based LED Scrolling Display Board is a model for displaying notices/messages at places that require real-time noticing, by sending messages in the form of SMS through mobile. We are using 48X2 LED display to display the messages. We are sending messages to the GSM module. Microcontroller will receives and process to display on the LED display. Here micro controller is programmed in such a way that it receives messages from the GSM module and it will check the messages and displayed on LED through driver circuit. The SMS is deleted from the SIM whenever we want, thus making for the next SMS. Here we are using driver circuit for communication purpose between these modules. LCD is used for system monitoring purpose and the entire process will be displayed on the LCD display.
