The main objective of this project is to create a distributed subway station safety detection system based on Raspberry Pi, enhancing passenger safety and security by continuously monitoring critical aspects of subway stations and promptly detecting potential safety hazards or security breaches.
The Distributed Subway Station Safety Detection System based on Raspberry Pi represents approach to ensuring public safety in subway stations. Utilizing the powerful capabilities of Raspberry Pi as the central processing unit, the system integrates various sensors including smoke sensor for smoke detection, CO2 sensor for monitoring carbon dioxide levels, air quality sensor for analyzing the air quality, and DHT11 sensor for measuring temperature and humidity. These sensors work cohesively to gather data about the station environment. In case of any hazardous situations such as smoke or poor air quality, the system triggers appropriate responses through its outputs: a buzzer for immediate alerts, an LCD display to showcase the relevant data, and a GSM module for sending instant notifications to registered members, ensuring timely communication of safety concerns.
