The main objective of this project is to implement a secure attendance management system for students using biometric and RFID passive tag technology, ensuring accurate and reliable student identification and attendance tracking in educational institutions
The Biometric and RFID Passive Tag-Based Student Identification System for Secure Attendance Management presents a comprehensive solution for educational institutions, addressing the challenges of efficient and secure attendance management. Combining Arduino, RFID technology, fingerprint sensors, GSM communication, an LCD display, and a buzzer, this system offers a two-step approach to attendance verification. Initially, RFID technology acts as student ID cards for attendance scanning, followed by an additional layer of security through fingerprint recognition. Attendance data is promptly transmitted to Thingspeak for recording, and parents receive instant SMS notifications to stay informed. An LCD display allows for on-the-spot attendance verification, while the buzzer alerts in cases of discrepancies. This system represents a substantial advancement in attendance management, security, and communication with parents. Its performance and refine its features for ultimately streamlining attendance processes and enhancing security in educational institutions.
