SMART WHEELCHAIRS: USING ROBOTICS TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN PROTOTYPES AND COST-EFFECTIVE SET-UPS

In future robots should be like that they can communicate with human being. That’s why we are more interested to make a robot which can be controlled by hand gestures or with joystick. The main purpose behind this study is to establish a reliable connection between human and computer, which can be a path to control the robot by the joystick movements. In this project we will discuss about an intelligent robot which can be controlled by the joystick moment not by the keyboard or any other physical effort and this is specially designed for disabled people. Before going to discuss anything else about this project let me tell you one thing that this project is very reliable and can be handle easily. Here the disable person has one flexibility with this project they can easily handle their wheelchair without any external support. They don’t need any one to take them one place to another, they are no more dependent on others to take care of them .so here we are making a disable person an able person who has the ability to take care of himself without any external care.
